Message What I did was put my Powdercoated valve covers, and Cam gears in the dishwasher! They get a thorough rinsing and heat cycling in there. And no, it will not harm the dishwasher. Flush with carb/brake cleaner as well, lots of water, and compressed air. Or hot tank them to be absolutely sure.

I just fired up the motor for the first time, it has about 30min of run time on it now, with timing /idle set it didn't blow up, so I must have done something right :)

I put my media blasted calipers in the dishwasher too. Honestly though, I will never blast an engine/intake part again. Too risky, hot tank only from now on.
